Endorsement Announcement, AZRTS, and Chamber Forum:
I'm proud to announce the official endorsement of the Cochise Chapter West & Southeast REALTORS of the Valley (WeSERV) for my re-election campaign!
"Carolyn's understanding of Sierra Vista's water needs and opportunities is important. Her willingness to identify and work to simplify regulations and remove barriers to property rehabilitation and land use was welcome. Members were happy to learn of her ideas for West End redevelopment."
Realtors are often the first people to interact with new residents in our community. Being on the front lines of the ultimate team sport, economic development. It's a genuine honor knowing I've earned their support. You can download and read the official endorsement letter below.
We only had one work session and one meeting at City Hall this week, but it was still an incredibly busy month. In my new role as Chair of the Sierra Vista Metropolitan planning organization and the Rural Transportation Advocacy Council (RTAC) board member, I attended the Arizona Rural Transportation Summit (AZRTS) for the first time. The Rural Transportation Summit is an event for elected and appointed local government officials, transportation professionals, legislators, and other notable guests to convene and engage in solutions to improve and enhance transportation in Greater Arizona.
While there, I had the opportunity to participate on an RTAC panel and presented our top 3 regional projects in need of funding to the legislators in attendance. One of those being the Theater Drive Corridor Project.
I'm grateful to the Sierra Vista Area Chamber of Commerce for arranging this forum and debate tonight so that Sierra Vista residents can make an educated decision when they vote in November. If missed it, the recording is online and you can watch it now at: https://www.svachamber.com/2022-mayoral-debate
